According to a new study, a one off therapy with "magic mushrooms" can bring long-term relief to cancer patients who suffer depression and anxiety. Participants of this study said they had life changing, meaningful, personal and spiritual experience from psilocybin, the active ingredient in "magic mushroom". Psilocybin-assisted therapy alongside psychotherapy can lift people out of depression, anxiety and existential crisis. It is very different when psilocybin is used in the right set and setting as opposed to recreational use.
The psilocybin experience allows for people to do their own self-analysis and possibly to have even a mystical, profound experience.
Psilocybin is illegal in the UK. The Imperial College London has a Centre of Psychydelic Research which is involved in a psychedelics research and focuses on clinical use of these natural compounds with great results. Any volunteers are welcome to apply for a trial or research in psilocybin.
